In 1974 two young boys, Slava and Seryozha, lost their father in a car accident. Their mother went mad from sorrow and left the brothers to be orphans. A few years later, Seryozha is adopted by a rich Moscow family. Slava couldn't forgive the betrayal of his younger brother and another orphan, Kolka, becomes his best friend. They find themselves on different paths of life; three separate roads.
