After taking a walk around the village, Tip realises safety really is important, and he promises he'll always fasten his safety belt.

The kindergarten is putting on a play. At the rehearsals, Tip realises he is afraid of getting up and saying his lines in front of his classmates and Miss Maggie. Tip is disappointed, but with Raphael's valuable advice, he figures out how to overcome his stage fright and be a successful actor.

The holidays are over, but Tip doesn't want to go back to kindergarten. He and his friends come up with all kinds of excuses to prolong their vacation. Nothing seems to work, but then the holidays end up being extended because of a problem at the kindergarten. The pups are in seventh heaven, but they soon get bored. Thinking back to the fun times they had in kindergarten...

Tip is also looking for something special, and he really wants to win the contest! Tip claims he never tells a lie. But he tells some almost-truths! Mommy explains to him that almost-truths can do as much damage as lies, but Tip is not convinced. He has lots of fun telling half-truths, but trouble comes along and in the end Tip realises what his mommy meant and promises not to tell any more half-lies... or almost-truths!

It's Jumper's birthday, and the teacher asks the pups who would like to make a drawing to use as a birthday card. Tip volunteers right away! At home, he hasn't forgotten his promise, but he wants to play for a while first... after all, there's plenty of time! But evening comes and he still hasn't made the birthday card. Will he manage to keep his promise?!

Tip never follows advice. Not even now that he's down at the river with his family. Grandpa warns him not to go near the sticky trees, but Tip, impatient to go off with Jody, doesn't listen to him. The result is disastrous, and Tip realises it's important to pay attention to advice. From then on, whenever someone has advice to offer, he's all ears!

The pups are at kindergarten, playing with plasticine. Tessa has made a figurine, but it won't stand up. Tip gives her some advice and she fixes it. Tip is happy, and spends the rest of the day convinced he's always right. But the afternoon has some surprises in store: he'll soon realise he can't be right all the time, and he doesn't want to be, either!

Henry entertains his friends with a magic trick, and Tip thinks he can do it too, but when he tries, he can't. When Henry tries to explain the trick to him, Tip proudly refuses to listen, telling him he knows how to do it, just not using buttons! Then he goes off in a huff. But an afternoon with Grandpa helps him realise that if you know how to do something properly, it's a lot easier.

As the family is setting the table for lunch, Tip puts the tablecloth over his head and jumps out from behind the door, making Daddy jump; everyone laughs. Then Tip sneaks up on Grandpa while he's reading his newspaper and makes him jump, too. For the rest of the day Tip has fun making everyone jump: his Mommy, his aunts... but after a while nobody laughs any more, and he wonders why...

Tip doesn't want take an afternoon nap. Mommy and Daddy tell him how important it is to rest, and that he'll be tired before bedtime if he doesn't. But Tip refuses to listen to them. And for a while he seems to be right, but by the time he gets to Jody's party, Tip is too tired to have fun. In the end, he has to admit that he should carry on taking his afternoon nap.

One Saturday morning in Spring, Mommy has to go out, and Daddy and Tip are sure they can manage just fine without her. But sometimes things are not as easy as they seem!

Tip just can't keep a secret. It's no good: secrets burst out of him, like sneezes! But, with Nutty's help, Tip learns how to keep a secret in order to play a game or surprise somebody. He recognises the importance of keeping a secret when he sees how happy Mommy is about the surprise party organised for her: it can be hard to keep a secret, but sometimes, it really is worth it!

Tip's aunt Lena comes over for a visit, and kisses him on the top of the head. Then she measures his height to see how much he's grown. Tip doesn't seem to have grown at all! Tip is disappointed, and when he sees his aunts kissing Tippy, he concludes that kisses are stunting his growth, because they're for babies! So he refuses any more kisses...

Tip and Jody are playing in the park and making a lot of noise. Their mothers ask them to tone it down, and the pups decide not to speak any more. But it soon becomes hard to stay silent, and the two realise that when it is others who make noise... it really can be annoying.
