Who can reach the ski slopes of Verbier in Switzerland first: Jeremy by road in a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, or Richard and James in a plane? In Lillehammer, there's another contest: who can get down a mountain fastest - James in a Mitsubishi rally car, or Richard in a bobsleigh? Will comedian Eddie Izzard be a contender for the fastest Star In A Reasonably Priced Car?

Jeremy discovers the Toyota Prius has less get-up-and-go than a lethargic teenager. Richard takes a Mustang on a road movie across Lincolnshire. Jeremy finds out if the true spirit the new VW Golf GTi is back. Can you buy a decent Porsche for under $2500? The presenters are each sent out to buy one, but which will perform best in our tests? We look at 4x4s to see which really can go off-road. Jeremy takes "off-road" too literally and decides to drive a LandRover Discovery up a Scottish mountain. Richard visits the Rinspeed factory in Switzerland and discovers some very unusual models including the world's first hydrofoil car. And the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car is actress, former model and UK national treasure, Joanna Lumley.

Richard road-tests the new Ford Focus. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason lends Jeremy his new Ferrari F60 Enzo. Top Gear pits a teenager on a skateboard against the Bowler Wildcat down a grassy track. Jeremy puts some 15-20 year old supercars through their paces. And the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car is pop star and former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell.

The power of the new Porsche 911 Carrera S is put to the test on the track. Jeremy has to eat more than his words about the Vauxhall Astra. The Brits take on the Americans and Australians when the Jaguar S Type R goes head to head with the Vauxhall Monaro VXR and Chrysler 300C on a Welsh beach.
