Two's Company

Dorothy is disturbed by the volume of Robert's cathedral music being played on his record-player, but when she is dictated to by a neighbour about the noise, her temper rises and she takes Robert's side in the argument.

Dorothy and Robert return from a shopping trip to discover that Dorothy's home has been burgled, as has a home further down the road.

Robert manages to antagonise Dorothy's dustmen, so they refuse to take away her rubbish. A complaint to the town hall brings in Mr. Bunn, but Dorothy and Robert are more than a match for him.

Dorothy's young American friend Jenny has marriage problems - on her honeymoon. Dorothy is asked to help solve them and she is helped (in his own inimitable way) by Robert.

Dorothy is half-thinking of selling the house, and Robert is strongly in favour of the idea. For once they appear to be in harmony...until Dorothy happens to ask home some charming young people she meets while out shopping.

When Dorothy finds that it's difficult to keep a cleaner in her employment because Robert quarrels with any woman she chooses to do the job. He in turn insists that he be allowed to interview and select a suitable cleaner.

In this the last of the series, it's Christmas and Dorothy and Robert are planning to spend time away from each other. However, things do not go quite according to plan!
