Virtual Hero

Rubius, a popular gamer and YouTuber, has the ORV delivered to his home, an immersive virtual reality system which plunges him into the Game Worlds. Here, he meets Sakura, a player destined to protect him.

Through the Tree of Worlds, Rubius arrives at Fear World. Here, he is saved from a horde of Zombies by the pleasant zombie Zombirella, a player who is his biggest fan. In search of the Sphere, Trollmask's hideout where he has Sakura confined, Rubius and Zombirella enter into the little forest where they are helped by Slimmer, an AI created to be scary but turns out to be shy and well-mannered.

The group tries to survive an absurd game of platforms in Mine World, where Trollmask's sidekicks try to retain them. Rubius doesn't manage to level up to be able to escape from this world, a place made of construction blocks with which anything can be created.

Maddy Model, the smiling hostess in the Fashion World, retains Rubius and his friends in an insufferable sweet way. Tea and pastries parties, "funny" contests with her friends and Hoofy, her talking horse. The only way for Rubius to level up and escape Fashion World is by obtaining five stars in Maddy's tests.

Rubius and his group reach Pet World, where he is attacked by various gigantic pets. Professor Brasas' irruption changes things and reveals a shortcut which can take them directly to the Sphere. In the shortcut, they are attacked by rebel AI's, but they manage to arrive undetected.

Rubius escapes the Sphere with Sakura, but they have left the Relay connected and they have to go back to destroy it. It's too late, Trollmask has arranged his defenses. A huge battle commences, Rubius and his friends against Trollmask and his sidekicks and an army of gigantic Armadurons.

Rubius meets with Sakura in the real world, where she is a videogames programmer. Zombirella and Mangel join them. Together, they try to track the origin of the ORV. But they are attacked by one of Sakura's work-mates, the player behind the avatar of Armaduron who is looking for vengeance.

UST rebels are against his creator Trollmask, but Rubius arrives just in time to save him. UST flees from the Sphere, he needs a bigger army to defeat Rubius and his friends. Every time it touches something, UST contaminates it with his code, converting all the AI's into UglyFurries, his new army of mutant pets.

Rubius travels to Jellyfish World in search of Morgan, an old pirate, who possesses the only map which will take them to Target World. However, getting to Morgan's island will prove to be more difficult than expected. The Medenas, marine creatures which are half-jellyfish and half-human, incite Rubius to forget his mission and to throw himself into the life of a pirate with no responsibilities.

Rubius arrives at Target World but will need the help of Trollmask to pass through the doors of Kerberos, programmed to destroy the code of any player who wants to enter. Demonika gives Trollmask a good-luck charm which changes the code for them and thus lets them get through the doors safely.

After reinforcing the Golden Blade and leaving Target World to join in the fight against Ust, Rubius discovers that he doesn't have a high enough level to master his new weapon. In the Sphere, while holding up as best they can against the onslaughts of Ust and it's Uglyfurris, Rubius will have to train against the clock to master the Golden Blade and defeat Ust.

Ust barges into the Sphere before Rubius completes his training. Rubius is at a disadvantage against Ust. In the last effort, Rubius will manage to master the Golden Blade to defeat Ust. Trollmask urges him to end his own life so that in this way, UST will also die. The plan seems perfect, but doubt enters Rubius' mind.
