Govinda, a talented Sanai player, is insulted by the villagers in the presence of a district collector, for being from a lower caste. Govinda's wife Nanda vows that one day, her son will also become a collector. Govinda's son Krushna fulfils her wish but is ashamed of his poor illiterate father.
