LJ loses his father's medal on a hike and Elizabeth and Nathan organize a "scavenger hunt of memories" to replace the lost medal. Nathan invites Charlotte Thornton as a final surprise of the hunt. She shares with LJ an old letter of Jack's and tells him he is his father's greatest legacy.

Nathan tells Allie he's going to propose to Elizabeth but doesn't know her ring size. They concoct many failed plans on how to retrieve her ring size. Nathan officially asks Charlotte Thornton for her blessing and they both go visit Jack Sr.'s tombstone together. Rosemary uses her acting skills to inform a National Insurance Claims Adjuster about a "controlled burn" conducted by Leveaux Farms.

Elizabeth is planning a Moon Festival with her class. Edie tells Lucas she's staying in Union City to start a new job with a private foundation. He's devastated, but covers. this doesn't happen Minnie and Joseph discuss buying out Bill's half of the cafe and renaming it "Minnie's Cafe.
