In this programme, Michele Strickland changes places with Yvonne Rickards. Michele so enjoys going out to the pub that she's got a job there - she's out five nights a week. Michele changes places with Yvonne, whose life couldn't be more different. Yvonne is married to Dave and is devoted to her four children.

An explosive swap, as Sharon from Rochdale and Karen from Norfolk trade places for 10 days. Karen and her husband Brian, an ex-serviceman, live with Karen's four children. Karen is expected to do all the housework, cook all the meals, and wait on Brian hand and foot. By contrast, Sharon and step-dad Paul live with Sharon's three children, who do not respect Paul in his own home.

We see Jayne Harris change places with Jane Brydon. Jayne prefers to spend all her time shopping for clothes and make-up with her daughter Sasha, leaving all the parenting duties to partner Martin. Jane is married to Bill.  Jane and Bill moved to a remote Scottish island. Both love getting into wellies and raincoats, and going out with their two sons and dogs for an all-day walk.

In the final programme in this run, Jo and Suzanne change places for two weeks. In Jo's house, the children run the roost. Jo believes in giving children free rein, but she wonders whether she's taken it too far. Suzanne's house couldn't be more difficult - she believes that adults are in charge. Her three children are expected to pull their weight both at home with enforced chores.
