Del, the town mechanic, helps the Cramps start a new bus line. Unfortunately, the New Bedford High School basketball team becomes the first set of customers, and the partnership breaks down! Hub tries to rekindle his friendship with Alice, while Maisey and Fat speculate about "the birds and the bees."

May Bailey inherits a Crystal Skull, which is believed to have magical powers. Grace is intrigued and it starts to bring her luck. Soon all the ladies in town want to borrow the skull! May eventually gets a dose of good fortune too, but the skull gets returned to it's rightful home.

The town of New Bedford suspects an ex-convict, Eddie, is responsible for a number of recent robberies. Maisey learns that Eddie knew her mother back in Toronto and it upsets her relationship with her grandfather.

Christmas arrives in New Bedford along with the CRNB 24-hour dance marathon and a prize of $200 that tempts locals, young and old, to brave the dance floor.

Honey starts offering free hairdressing one day a week at her beauty shop and befriends a woman down-on-her-luck. Unfortunately, the woman falls sick with a dangerous bug and Honey also falls ill.

The Bailey family feels their lives slipping out of order. Honey is in the hospital and the kids are staying at their grandmother's. Fat misses his mom and is having trouble processing, while Hub struggles watching his friend Alice make a mistake. Bob's new girlfriend comes to town.
