Young Dracula

The day after the Hunt Ball showdown, and the battle between Van Helsing and the Count is on. The Count and Van Helsing kidnap each other's children. A trade goes wrong, and Van Helsing takes the Count prisoner. Vlad tries to save his father, resulting in a high speed caravan chase. The Count and Van Helsing realise that it is going to be harder to defeat each other than they first thought.

The American Draculas arrive in Stokely for cousin Boris' vampire transformation. The Count's younger brother, Harvey is a reformed, soya blood-drinking vampire. Harvey tries to convince the Count to become 'blood-free'. But when Harvey goes to make peace with the slayer, Van Helsing, the blood lust is too much and Vlad has to stop the re-emerged Ivan from killing Van Helsing.

Vlad and Boris discover a way out of becoming vampires. Aware of Vlad's quest, VH plants a book at the castle telling Vlad to smash the Blood Mirror (which holds the power of the vampire clan) to return all vampires to their mortal state. Robin, upset at being left out, strikes up a friendship with Jonno to get back at Vlad. Through the Van Helsings, Robin discovers the cure is a trick.

It's Boris's 16th birthday, he transforms from a wimp into a strong, power hungry vampire. Boris convinces Vlad that he has gained his vampire powers but hasn't actually become evil, however he is stealing power from the Count and Ivan, slowly killing them. Vlad realises what Boris has done, and tricks Boris into giving the power back to the Count and Ivan. Boris is taken away to rehab.

Vlad and Robin discover that Renfield's father began a cure for vampirism, but died before it's completion. Using alchemy, Vlad re-grows Renfield Snr from his bone. Unfortunately, Renfield's father is a horrible, man he forces Renfield to move in with the Branaghs, makes Ingrid mute, and turns Vlad against Robin. Vlad has to sacrifice the cure in order to protect his friends and family.

Madga arrives, pregnant. Vlad is distraught when the Count announces that the new baby boy is now his heir. As the Count is about to anoint his new son and heir, the baby suddenly transforms into a wolf puppy. Evidently it's not the Count's but Patrick the werewolf's baby after all! Van Helsing decides to take a break from slaying to protect Jonno.

Vlad begins to sleep in the day, where he enters The Dreamworld, an allegorical representation of Vlad's vampire destiny. Here he is pursued by Slayers (the Branaghs), discovers vampiric powers, and is finally told he is 'The Chosen One' and must battle the Grand High Vampire and inherit the title of Grand High Vampire. If Vlad is slain in the Dreamworld, he will die in the real world.

It's Valentines Day in Stokely and the Count is determined to give the gift of immortality to a breather. Unfortunately for Van Helsing and Jonno, it's Mina. Meanwhile love is in the air for Robin and Vlad who have just met new girl Delila, and are keen to escort her to the school Valentine's Ball - suddenly our best mates become love rivals!

When Vlad and Robin discover an ancient Staff with the power to 'cure' vampirism in the local museum they decide they have to get hold of it. They're not the only ones after the relic however, so is the Count - who is forced to rise out of his body (ghost like) to try and get his hands on it first. Unfortunately the Van Helsings have also turned up at the museum.

Ingrid turns 16 and prepares for her Transformation Ceremony and 'Coming of Rage' party. But when she meets Dirgni her evil reflection (who she must merge with to become a vampire) in the Mirror Room, she learns she must forsake Will in order to become a vampire. So in love with Will, she decides she can't merge with Dirgni and goes on the run with Vlad's help.

When PC Brown comes to the castle enquiring about a breather who has gone missing, Vlad is convinced the Count is responsible. Vlad relays his fear about his dad's bloodlust to Robin but is overheard by Graham, who mistakenly thinks they are talking about Fox Hunting. Similarly, when Robin discusses the subject with Vlad - it's Elizabeth who hears.

The Grand High Vampire turns up in Stokely, accompanied by Justice Moroi (his Chief of Police), to charge the Count for fraternising with breathers. If the Count can't prove his innocence by dawn he will die! This sends Vlad into one almighty spin, and Robin (who has stolen away to visit Vlad for the night) is now locked in the Great Hall with the GHV!

Things have come to a head in Stokely - the Grand High Vampire has been slain and The Crown of Power, which was left at the castle in the previous episode, had suddenly begun destroying the Vampire Clan Heads who have come to claim it. Suddenly talk of 'The Prophecy' is rife. The Prophecy states that when the Crown starts killing, it awaits 'The Chosen One'.
