Onoda Sakamichi, student of Sohoku High School, rides 90 kilometers to Akiba on his mommy bike to buy the anime goods he loves. He plans to join the anime club at school and make lots of friends.

Imaizumi witnesses Onoda climbing the high school's steep rear gate slope on his mommy bike while singing. In order to test his strength, Imaizumi challenges Onoda to a bicycle race.

Onoda and Imaizumi's race has begun. Onoda pedals as hard as he can, but is quickly passed by Imaizumi despite his late start. Miki catches up to adjusts his saddle and Onoda resumes.

When Onoda goes to Akiba on his mommy bike to buy anime goods, he encounters Naruko riding a bike. Naruko becomes enraged when a car throws a cigarette butt at Onoda's bike.

The day after riding his bike with Naruko, Onoda encounters Naruko again at his high school's store. Naruko encourages Onoda to join the bicycle racing club with him.

The welcoming race for first-year students begins. Onoda is excited to race with Imaizumi and Naruko again, but...

Onoda acquires the road racer from the van Miki is riding. Despite it being his first time riding a road racer, Onoda rides smoothly and surprises everyone.

Onoda finally catches up to Imaizumi and Naruko. His surprising growth and earnest feelings ignite their own fighting spirits!

Encouraged by Naruko and determined to become the King of the Mountain in Minegayama, Onoda raises his cadence as high as possible to catch Imaizumi.

With the welcoming race over and Onoda's potential as a climber discovered, he is told to train with Makishima...

It is the day after training with Makishima. Onoda, Imaizumi and Naruko thought they had the day off, but the third-year students are actually participating in a race!

The Sohoku High bicycle racing club holds a training camp to prepare for the Inter-High. On their way to the campground, as a carsick Onoda is taking a break, he encounters cyclist Manami Sangaku.

The training camp has begun. In order to complete Kinjou's grueling plan that requires 1,000 kilometers in four days, Imaizumi and Naruko start the morning with great intensity.

It's the third day of camp. While riding alone early in the morning, Onoda is reunited with Manami, the boy he met on the first day of camp. Onoda makes a proposal to Manami.

After meeting Manami, Onoda's desire to participate in the Inter-High heightens. In order to participate, Onoda realizes he must first ride 1,000 kilometers at camp and begins desperately pedaling.

Second-year Teshima and Aoyagi stand between the first-year students and their goal to finish riding 1,000 kilometers. In order to protect their lead, Teshima and Aoyagi challenge the younger members.

Onoda breaks through Teshima's impregnable guard on the climb. With no tricks left, Teshima becomes discouraged but moved by Aoyagi's strong will to go to the Inter-High together.

After falling to last place, Onoda catches up to Imaizumi, Naruko, Teshima and Aoyagi. The five boys clash in an fiery all-out sprint to the finish line!

Having completed the difficult training camp, Onoda has grown. But with so much less experience and strength than the other members, he gives up on participating in the Inter-High.

The club's spirits rise with the upcoming Inter-High. Meanwhile, at Hakone Academy, the winning school last year, second-year Kuroda and first-year Manami were racing for a spot in the Inter-High.

The day before the Inter-High, Kinjou recalls the events during the competition last summer. Kinjou's one-on-one battle with Hakone Academy's ace concludes.

The team arrives at Enoshima, the starting location of the Inter-High. Nervous about his first race, Onoda can't hide his anxiety. But he becomes fired up hearing the cheers of his teammates.

The first day of the Inter-High begins. Onoda begins riding with the goal of finishing with Imaizumi and Naruko. As they enter the flats, every school's sprinter begins moving.

Every school's top sprinters begin racing at once to take the first checkpoint. Pursuing Tadokoro and Naruko is a man who trained his body to perfection for this day, Hakone Academy's Izumida.
