Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS

The town that developed the newest network - Den City. There, in "LINK VRAINS," the VR space managed by SOL Technology, people Duel day and night. Our hero, Fuji Yuusaku, is a cool high schooler who posses outstanding powers of observation.

Yuusaku manages to capture the the Mysterious Lifeform as he pursues the hacker group "the Knights of Hanoi." To defeat the Knights, he logs in to the VR space "LINK VRAINS" as "Playmaker" and challenges them to a Duel with the Mysterious Lifeform as a hostage.

Yuusaku begins investigating the information hidden within the Mysterious Lifeform. Meanwhile, his Duel with the Knights of Hanoi is attracting attention all over the network, and everyone is saying Playmaker is the hero who saved LINK VRAINS.

A Knight of Hanoi suddenly appears in the VR space, LINK VRAINS. The Knight's true identity is Go Onizuka - a charismatic Duelist who has his eye on Playmaker.

Go Onizuka Duels almost as though he were in a pro-wrestling match, exaggerating how dire his circumstances are, to delight and entertain the crowd. Aware his own calm and rational style is vastly different, Playmaker finds himself becoming interested in Go Onizuka's play style.

Zaizen Aoi is making a name for herself in LINK VRAINS as the charismatic Duelist Blue Angel. To gain the recognition of her holder brother, Zaizen Akira, she challenges Playmaker to a Duel in front of everyone in LINK VRIANS.

Yuusuke gets the feeling that the Knights of Hanoi are backing Blue Angel and accepts her challenge to try to discover her true motives. Blue Angels tactics, using effect damage, steadily drive Playmaker into a corner...

The effects of the program set up by the Knights of Hanoi have sent Zaizen Aoi into a coma. Yuusuke feels responsible for getting her caught up in his fight against the Knights and sets out with Kusanagi and the others to investigate the cause.

Playmaker wagers the program that can remove the virus eating away at Aoi along with an AI known as Ignis in a Duel with Revolver. Revolver calls Cracking Dragon which Playmaker quickly crushes with the Link Monsters he's obtained.

Revolver activates a powerful skill and uses the overwhelming power he obtains to launch a fierce attack. In the face of it, all Playmaker can do is defend.

Stunned by the truth revealed by Revolver, Playmaker takes a massive hit from Revoler's ace monster, Barrel-load Dragon, and collapses. As his consciousness fades, a mysterious voice reverberates through his mind, waking him up...

Accompanied by Firewall Dragon, Playmaker gathers the last of his strength to confront Revolver's Barrel-load Dragon. Playmaker vows revenge for what happened in the past. Revolver plots to eradicate "Ignis."

His fierce battle with Revolver ended, Yuusaku and Kusanagi analyze information regarding Ignis. Meanwhile, in LINK VRAINS, Ghost Girl, a mysterious Duelist who saw Playmaker, is interviewed.

Interested in the incident from 10 years ago, Ghost Girl challenges Playmaker to a Duel with Ai as the stakes. When he learns that, if he wins, he'll gain a program that will help him infiltrate SOL Technology's database, Yuusaku heads into LINK VRAINS.

Ghost Girl opens the Duel with phantasmagorical tactics making the battle difficult to read. Playmaker calmly analyzes her movements and looks for a chance to use Storm Access.

Playmaker infiltrates SOL Technology's mother computer looking for information on the incident from 10 years ago and heads for a certain data bank deep within the system, but a Duel AI program stands in his way.

Playmaker is blocked by AI programs. Blue Angel rushes to his side. With her help, Playmaker manages to escape and hurries deeper into the mother computer.

Playmaker infiltrates SOL Technology's data banks. Waiting for him is Zaizen Akira. He's there to try to cool Playmaker's burning desire for revenge, but his words don't get through to him.

Zaizen Akira displays brilliant tactics through his skillful use of the Tindangle deck. Playmaker counters with the Cybers. As the fierce battle rages on inside the data bank, Akira begins to speak about the events of 10 years ago.

Using every means at his disposal, Zaizen Akira corners Playmaker. But Playmaker calls up the last of his strength and tries to turn the tables in one move with a series of link summons.

Yuusaku and Kusanagi make progress in analyzing the data from SOL Technology. They learn a new truth about the events of 10 years ago.

In Den City, a mysterious phenomenon known as "Anothers" is happening over and over. It's a terrifying condition where people can't log out of LINK VRAINS and are left unconscious in the real world.

To save a boy who has fallen victim to an Anothers incident, Go Onizuka confronts a criminal calling himself Doctor Genome.

Doctor Genome uses his Helix tactics to turn the Gouki's powerful attacks against them. This strategy puts Go Onizuka in a desperate situation with seemingly no way out.
