Villagers face a new threat, as outsiders use the new road to descend on sacred hunting grounds. Charlie and James track a moose and make a disturbing discovery. Stan races to find a new source of fresh water.

Charlie clears a trail along a treacherous stretch of the Yukon, with help from his daughter’s new boyfriend. Chris and Jessi hatch a plan to hunt with homemade weapons.

A historic lack of snowfall prevents Stan from reaching his trapline. Charlie joins forces with Stan to defend an ancestral trapline from an unknown invader. Courtney passes on dying native traditions to her daughter Cuppy.

Villagers race to prepare for an early cold snap. Stan uses Yukon engineering to make a risky repair to his truck, while Chris and Jessi enlist their dog Tozi to help them haul firewood. Charlie tries to stop a deadly fire.

The countdown to the dark days causes a mad dash for food. Chris and Jessi venture onto thin ice to net whitefish. Stan and Charlie join forces on a perilous hunt for caribou, and Pat turns to the town dump to feed his pigs.

With dark days fast approaching, Chris and Jessi use Yukon ingenuity to bring light to the Cosna. Stan goes trapping with his dog team. Pat and James travel to a distant village to net eels for their dogs.

Charlie fights to save Tanana’s water supply with help from fellow villager, Stan. Chris' father, Stuart, returns to the homestead he established forty years ago to help build a key piece of infrastructure.

A storm destroys the Chris and Jessi's food supply turning their Alaskan dream into a nightmare. Charlie builds a new trapline outside of town, and Stan builds a survival shelter for a dicey stretch of the new road.

Charlie seeks help from a local gold miner to repair his bear-ravaged cabin, which leads to an unexpected proposition. Chris and Jessi fight for their lives when they are stranded overnight in dangerously low temperatures.
