Former gifted child actor Miwa Kandagawa becomes a sharp-tongued manager. Hiding her identity, she joins the talent agency Toyo Production, under the alias "Michiko Sumidagawa." However, to be officially hired, she must ensure the big-name actor Yoshihiko Gomi successfully completes a commercial shoot. Unfortunately, her efforts are hampered by Gomi's overbearing attitude and mansplaining ways.

Ordered by Saigawa to find new talent, Miwa scouts aspiring actress Saki. Unfortunately, her small voice and inability to greet people makes her unpopular with the other talents. She even snubs an audition Miwa worked hard to get! Miwa confronts her head on with harsh words, and Saki finally opens her heart, eventually displaying her talent as an actress...
