Beck

A young woman, Denise,18years old, is found dead; strangled in a hotel room in central Stockholm. The room has been paid for with a credit card belonging to a Peter Ahre from the well-to-do suburb of Djursholm. Beck investigates.

Gangster kingpin Zlatko Lozanovic is shot and killed in his home by a sniper. He dies in front of his wife, children, and father-in-law. The Beckteam draws up a list of all of Zlatko's enemies, which turns out to include most of Stockholm's underworld.

Two dead men are found buried outside Stockholm. They remain unidentified for a long time, but soon the Beck team finds reason to believe that the two could be the victims of an internal conflict within an Islamic terrorist group when another man is found murdered in an abandoned car. This man, Ibrahim, appears to have links to a terrorist group.

OncologistJohan Fors is accused by the son of a deceased patient, who was gravely ill with cancer, of having killed her. Martin Beck takes on the case along with Gunvald and the rest of the team. Only with lukewarm enthusiasm as the woman was 80 years old and chronically ill, and the son is a mother-bonded paranoiac. But it does actually look as if the woman was killed.

An investigative journalist is found beaten to death in his home, where the fingerprints of a notorious criminal debt collector are also found. The murdered journalist has been threatened by right wing extremists, but it is the victim's work with a book about "society's dark side" that captures the Beck group's interest.

An unidentified body is found in the remains left after a fire in a trailer at a run-down caravan park. The owner of the trailer, a young drug-addicted woman, is missing, but is she really the victim? And what role has the so-called neighbourhood watch from the nearby community played?

Three brutal murders are committed in a house in a quiet suburb. The victims are a former police officer, his wife and their 10 year old son.

Two traffic officers on a quiet morning shift try to stop a car for speeding. When the car finally pulls over, the driver gets out and shoots at them, killing one of the officers in cold blood. A national alert is issued and an extensive search for the ruthless killer begins, with the Beck group at the lead.
