Accused

When Xoli's brother went to prison, Xoli started mixing with the wrong crowd and this led him to smoke drugs and take part in petty crimes. Soon after Xoli and his gang were seen robbing a spaza shop, a woman was murdered in his neighborhood. The community was outraged and wanted to see justice served for the victim's family.

On a Sunday, after attending a church service, Johnny Rakgomo decided to visit his friend, Skhumbuzo. As he was at Skhumbuzo's house waiting for him to finish freshening up, police barged in to arrest them for a crime they did not commit. The police claimed that Johnny and Skhumbuzo highjacked a car that was parked in their neighborhood.

When a well-known school principal and councilor was gunned down at his house at Tshavhalovhedzi, Marcus Mulaudzi and Samuel Nndwambi, who were hard working family men, had no idea that they would make the list of murder suspects. Following more investigations, four suspects were arrested, and Marcus Mulaudzi was one of them.

The accused Boswell Mhlongo, a 40-year-old father of 3, and Thembekile Molaudzi, a 41-year-old father of one. They were accused of shooting an off-duty Warrant Officer and stealing his bakkie. The accused stood trial in the high court, and they were charged with murder, robbery, and a long list of other related crimes. They were found guilty on all counts and sentenced to life imprisonment.

At the age of 23, Nolubabalo Nomsuka, a single young mother was expecting her second child. Nolubabalo realized that she was going into labor. She called a friend to help her but before she could arrive, Nolubabalo had given birth to a stillborn child. When her friend and Neighbours arrived, they accused her of murdering her own child, an accusation that led Nolubabalo to a life sentence.

Samson Ngabi, a family man, was a budding DJ in his town of Fochville. He was liked and known by many in the town as a nice guy. Everything he did was for the care of his wife and children. It was in March 2004, when a fight started amongst customers inside the tavern where Samson was DJ-ing. The following day, Samson was accused of killing one of the customers that were fighting in the tavern.

A tale of love gone wrong, after Mthokozisi Nsuntsha found himself in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Mthokozisi aspired to be a teacher but was arrested for robbery on his way to see his girlfriend in Molapo, Soweto. He was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
