Set in Mitchell's Plain, 1994, a young man goes missing, and the police approach psychologist Dr Micki Pistorius to help with the case.

Chris and AJ arrest the man who has been writing the letters to the press. Micki attends the post - mortem of Joey Adamse – her first; and the case is taking its toll on AJ.

In Pretoria, Micki meets Brigadier Brink, who puts her onto a new case: another body has just been found in the Cleveland mine dumps.

Micki and Erika are off to work on a new case: fifteen dead women are found in Atteridgeville. But almost immediately, the team are called as a new body is discovered at a horrifying scene.

Micki is summoned to the small town of Donnybrook to assist Detectives Nick and Solomon in trying to get a confession out of a suspect in the next forty-eight hours before he appears in court.

Micki returns to Cape Town to work on a new case. A serial killer targets prostitutes. A potential suspect emerges, but extracting a confession becomes a race against time.

In Port Elizabeth, a missing boy sparks a frantic search. Micki arrives to testify in the trial of a 'cannibal killer,' Stewart Wilken. However, the sensationalised press complicates her efforts.

The discovery of a series of bodies in sugar cane fields sends Micki to Durban and another case. With her caseload increasing her exhaustion and panic attacks raise concerns amongst the team about Micki and her methods.

The case of the Phoenix Strangler continues with more bodies being discovered in the sugar cane. Micki makes a breakthrough and her team face a perilous situation as they chase down a suspect. Micki and Mark’s relationship starts to suffer.

Micki faces her toughest case yet - she is brought on board to find a shooter responsible for randomly murdering tens of villagers in KZN.

Micki’s funding is approved to train other officers in profiling but as the pressure mounts at work, will Micki’s world come crashing down?
