This series recounts the great battles and strategies of the Pacific Theater of WWII. At sea, it was a modern war fought by aircraft carriers. The combatants engaged each other with fighter planes and bombers roaming far from their floating landing strips. The land war saw the rise of sophisticated forms of amphibious warfare. In the end, the fight was won with the ultimate weapon: a nuclear bomb.
