With numerous states like California severely strapped for cash, the answer might really be the legalisation and taxation of Marijuana. Morgan explores the highs and lows of the entire medical Marijuana industry while he works in a dispensary and learns about the various forms of cannabis available.

It is estimated that over 10 million guns are sold in the US per year. Couple that with the 10,000 deaths by gunfire, and it is clear we have an epidemic that refuses to go away. Morgan works at a gun shop, visits a firing range, and takes a trip to the largest gun show in the country to get an inside take on gun ownership in America.

As states like Arizona crack down on illegal immigrants, Morgan joins the plight of the more than 1.3 million migrant workers that move from state to state each year, desperately in search of work and a safe place. He tries his hand at a job as a migrant worker in Polk County Florida, a job that is rarely filled by American workers.

Morgan becomes a substitute teacher at two very different public schools within walking distance of each other. One is zoned for a wealthy town and the other is zoned for the inner city. He also tries out the immersive approach that teachers use at Williamsburg Collegiate Charter School in Brooklyn, New York.

To explore the complexities of dying in America, Morgan travels to Griffithsville, West Virginia for much more than just a visit back home. He volunteers for an 'end of life' care organization, and examines the Medicare debate, rising health care costs, and the systemic practice of prolonging life by any means necessary.

Morgan goes to work for the bankrupt municipality of Stockton, California and explores up close what severe budget cuts mean for a city. He spends a day in each of the city's departments; from the Mayor's staff of one to the sanitation department that doesn't have the manpower to keep up with garbage removal.

Morgan is getting up with the sun in America's heartland. He makes his way to Nebraska and spends time living and working as a ranch hand on a property where a severe drought is devastating the land and forcing families to make some tough calls.

It's impossible to turn on the news in the US and not hear that we are a nation divided. Morgan embeds himself in a specific fringe group: labor unions. They gave us weekends, child labor laws, and the guaranteed minimum wage. Workers still need protection, and Morgan investigates if unions are still the best way for them to get it.
