Ash Ketchum gets his Pokemon journey off to a rough start when he receives his first Pokemon, the reluctant Pikachu. However when Ash gets attacked by a flock of Spearow, Pikachu steps in and saves Ash.

Ash rushes into Viridian City with his gravely wounded Pikachu. The city's on high alert for Pokemon thieves of Team Rocket, a group of bad guys dedicated to stealing valuable Pokemon.

Ash catches a Caterpie. However, Misty's bug phobia makes her uneasy. Though Ash captures a Pidgeotto, Team Rocket appear once more to get the Pokemon for themselves.

After the Caterpie evolves into a Metapod, Ash and Misty meet a samurai, who wants to test Ash's skill. In the middle of the fight, a swarm of Beedrill take Ash's Metapod away.

Ash and Misty arrive in Pewter City, where Ash aims to win his first Gym Badge. His opponent, Brock is a skilled Gym Leader and Ash almost loses the battle.

Brock has joined Ash and Misty on the journey. On their way to the next city, they meet a scientist, Seymour. Seymour believes that the Pokemon they saw, Clefairy, is from outer space.

Misty attempts to stop Ash from going to Cerulean City. Ash goes to encounters the Cerulan City's Gym Leader sisters. Misty appears to challenge Ash. Will Ash be able to defeat her?

After receiving the two badges, Ash encounters an unofficial Gym led by AJ. AJ manages to defeat Ash. Ash disagrees with his training style. Ash attempts to persuade AJ to seek a new path.

Ash and Misty run into students of the Pokemon Tech school. Misty challenges a girl, Giselle to a battle to prove the importance of battles, as compared to simulation.

The heroes spot an Oddish, which Ash tries to capture, if it weren't for a Bulbasaur. They trigger traps, which Melanie, a caretaker has set to stop Team Rocket. Will Bulbasaur save the village?

The heroes encounter a Charmander laying on a rock. Ash, Brock and Misty save the Charmander from the rain ask Nurse Joy to treat it. Charmander does not want to abandon his trainer and goes to him.

A group of Squirtle are creating a trouble around the town. Team Rocket are attacked, but Meowth manages to persuade the Squirtle to capture everyone. Ash's Pikachu gets hurt but Squirtle spares him.

Ash is depressed to hear that his previous achievements are of no use. He manages to capture a Krabby. The heroes go to a nearby lighthouse and meet Bill, who tells them of a mysterious Pokemon.

The heroes make it to Vermilion City. Ash, Brock and Misty go inside the Gym and meet the giant, Lt. Surge. Lt. Surge's Raichu is quite powerful and defeats Pikachu. Ash is offered a Thunder Stone.

Team Rocket give heroes the tickets to the cruise ship, St. Anne. A gentleman offers Ash to trade for a Butterfree. James buys a Magikarp.Team Rocket attacks the trainers and the ship begins to sink.

The heroes and Team Rocket are in a sinking ship and agree to work together. James feels that his Magikarp is useless and abandons it. The Magikarp to evolve into Gyarados and is not happy with ill-treatment.

The heroes and Team Rocket are lost in an island where they lose their Pokemon. The Pokemon wanders around the island. To make things worse, they encounter a gigantic Pokemon, who do not listen to them.

The heros meet Nastina, who plans to build a hotel on a barrier reef and is trying to get rid of some squids, Tentacool. Misty tries hard to protect the Tentacool. Team Rocket attempts to get rid of Tentacool.

James and Brock spot a woman at the port and get influenced by her gaze and spend a night at the Maiden's Peak. They start to behave weirdly, so Jessie, Meowth, Misty and Ash too join them and see a ghost.

Ash, Brock and Misty encounter a group of Butterfree that want to lay eggs with their mates. Ash's Butterfree falls in love with a pink Butterfree but she refuses him. Team Rocket steal all the Butterfree.

Pikachu is captured by Team Rocket. A girl paralyzes them and gets Pikachu back to Ash. Sabrina, the Saffron City's Gym Leader, sends Abra, who evolves into a Kadabra. Ash is adamant to defeat Sabrina.

Ash goes to Lavender town in the Pokemon tower to catch a Ghost Type Pokemon to win against the gym leader, Sabrina. Team Rocket keep an eye on the heroes. Haunter appears and decides to join Ash to help him win.

Ash goes to challenge Sabrina but Haunter disappears and runs away. Misty and Brock are turned into dolls. Pikachu goes to battle Kadabra. Haunter, however, goes to Sabrina, wanting to show her something.

After learning his rival, Gary, has caught more Pokemon, Ash goes with his friends to Celadon City. He encounters a Mankey and attempts to capture it. It gets mad, evolves into a Primeape and chases Ash.

Misty, Brock and Pikachu visit to a perfume store. The people working in the shop work in the Celadon Gym too. Ash and Team Rocket make a pact to get Ash in the Gym to battle Erika, the Gym Leader.

Ash, Brock and Misty soon see that some children are missing and some Pokemon are behaving strange. They soon find the source of sleep waves, Hypno. Misty soon gets influenced Hypno's power and acts as a Seal.

Brock introduces Ash and Misty to his idol, Suzy. Misty agrees to her idea to improve Psyduck's appearance, Brock and Ash believe a Pokemon should improve its inner strength. Team Rocket make changes to their Pokemon.

Meeting a woman named Rebecca, Brock and Ash decide to enter the P1 Grand Prix Tournament to defeat Rebecca's father. Team Rocket decide to take the prize by cheating.

Arriving in Gringey City, Pikachu becomes ill, so the heroes take it to the Pokemon Center. Nurse Joy cannot cure Pikachu. Ash, Brock and Misty go to see what the problem is where a mysterious person follows them.

Going to the Fuchsia City, Ash, Brock and Misty come upon a wreck, where Diglett had dug the holes. The Heroes go to find the reason behind it. Jessie and James keep a watch on Diglett, and plan to capture it.

Going to the Fuchsia City's Gym, the heroes enter a strange mansion. It is filled with a lot of traps for them. An unknown lady named Aya appears and challenges Ash to test his ninja skills.

A lady named Lara stops Ash from catching Tauros, as he is in the Safari Zone, where people cannot capture a Pokemon. Lara attempts to calm her Ponyta, but gets wounded, so asks Ash to participate in instead.

Officer Jenny arrests Ash, Misty and Brock for poaching. They see Team Rocket attempting to steal the Kangaskhan but a young boy commands the Kangashkhan and defeats them. Ash, Brock and Misty wonder who he is.

Nurse Joy lends heros a few bikes to get medicine for an injured Shellder at Sunny Town, a mysterious group of bikers appear that block their path. Tyra and Chopper, try to get the heroes Pokemon.

Ash, Misty and Brock enter a mansion where they find a Pikachu and a trainer that look quite similar to Ash and his Pikachu. They are actually Duplica and Ditto, who copy others. Team Rocket steal the Ditto.

The heroes see a field of Pikachu. Team Rocket steal the Pikachu, Ash's Pikachu defeats them and gains the loyalty of other Pikachu. Ash makes a difficult decision of releasing Pikachu for its happiness.

The heroes encounter an Eevee, who has been tied on a leash and abandoned. The heroes go to Stone Town and discover its master, Mikey. Mikey's brothers force him to evolve Eevee to a Vaporeon, Flareon or Jolteon.

The heroes encounter a hippie with a Poke Flute. The gang is hungry and stops by a town, but they discover there is no water. They see a sleeping Snorlax, who blocks the river. The heroes try to wake it up, but fails.

The heroes hear a battle between two rival forces: Yas and Kaz Gyms, who want to be promoted as the official Gym from the Pokemon League. The battles get violent, so the Heros decide to pacify the forces.

Misty notices a magician named Melvin doing wrong tricks. The heroes decide to help him out, but finds out about his Exeggcute. The Exeggcute hypnotise Ash, Team Rocket and everyone else causing a lot of trouble.

A young woman helps Team Rocket's Meowth. Ash, Brock and Misty meet a woman, Cassandra and Ash tries to battle her Paras to evolve into a Parasect. Ash's and Team Rocket's Pokemon let it win.

After encountering a Jigglypuff, the heroes see it cannot sing. Giving the Jigglypuff a fruit, it sings, making the heroes sleep. For this act, Jigglypuff becomes angry and draws marks on their faces.

Ash finds Team Rocket attempting to blow a canyon. Pikachu accidentally blows the explosives to prevent the explosion. They find some fossil Pokemon, from which an Aerodactyl wants Ash to be its lunch.

Doctor Proctor cures Ash's Pikachu. Dodrio attacks Proctor while he was injecting an anesthetic. Proctor goes to sleep. The heros go to heal the other Pokemon, while Jessie and James plan to steal all Pokemon.

James goes to a mansion and gets captured, only to be married to Jessibelle, a girl with whom he escaped from the mansion. His old friend comes to his rescue to protect him from Jessibelle.

Misty tracks a Farfetch'd, and meets a boy and swaps her bag with him. Misty thinks that the boy is a thief. The heroes encounter the boy and finds out that his Farfetch'd is not suited for battles.

Team Rocket steals the egg but the heroes get it back after mounting an attack on Team Rocket. The the egg hatches into a Togepi. The heroes are in a fix regarding Togepi so they have a tournament.

Ash's Bulbasaur seems to evolve after a fight with a Rhyhorn. Bubasaur goes to the Mysterious Garden, but decides not to evolve.Team Rocket captures all the Ivysaur and the sun rises and enhances Bulbasau.

The gang encounters a thief and Pikachu lacks courage to attack it. Ash thinks of improving Pikachu's skills. Team Rocket suddenly appear and use gases to alter everyone's voices, and turn Jenny's Growlithe on her.

The heros meet Todd Snap, the Pokemon photographer who wants to take a picture of Ash's Pikachu. Todd Snap does it on the orders of Team Rocket who wants to capture Pikachu. Team Rocket plan to capture Pikachu.

The heroes encounter a Pokemon League exam, where the person who passes the tests can compete in the League without requiring badges. Ash and Team Rocket take part, but the tests are very tough.

Misty leaves her Psyduck in a Pokemon Breeding Center. The Heors find that the owners, Cassidy and Butch, are actually members of Team Rocket. Jenny arrests Ash, Brock, Todd, Jessie, James and Meowth.
