After her family is convicted of framing the Mus, Hua Qian wakes from a mysterious coma and finds herself transported back to her wedding day, with a chance to alter her tragic fate.

Before Hua Qian sets out to undo her previous mistakes, she must convince her father Butler Hua to plead for the life of Butler Mu, whom she previously implicated. As Hua Qian adopts a new attitude, her husband Zhong Yelan grows suspicious.

While Butler Hua comes to the defense of Butler Mu, Hua Qian attempts to reconcile with her old friend, Mu Yao. Seeking revenge of her own, Mu Yao takes a job as a maid for the Zhong family to gather evidence of Hua Qian’s wrongdoings.

After Hua Qian uses her influence to get her brother out of a bind, Zhong Xiwu decides to put her character to the test. Meanwhile, Mu Yao reveals her true intentions in working as a maid to Zhong Yelan.

In an attempt to right her wrongs, Hua Qian engineers an opportunity for Mu Yao to impress Zhong Yelan and Zhong Xiwu with disappointing results. Meanwhile, the Zhong family hires Hua Rongzhou, a beggar Hua Qian once saved, as a guard.

In a private conversation with Zhong Xiwu, Hua Qian renews her loyalty and love for Zhong Yelan…who overhears the entire encounter. Then, a mysterious thief contacts Mu Yao and offers to clear her father’s name.

Despite added security, the Zhong family manor is attacked by masked assailants during a sacred ceremony. In the chaos, Hua Qian ends up gravely wounded while trying to protect Zhong Yelan, forcing her to reveal the truth about their marriage.

As an investigation into the assassination gets underway, Hua Qian starts to recover from her injuries despite Zhong Yelan’s refusal to visit her. Hua Qian requests a divorce, but instead finds her privileges at home taken away.

After Hua Rongzhou proves himself to be a qualified guard, word of Hua Qian’s request for a divorce spreads, throwing the families into chaos. As Hua Qian clashes with her father, Zhong Yelan approaches Mu Yao with concerns about the Hua family’s motives.

At the Zhong family’s annual incense banquet, mysterious rival lord Wu Shuomo wins a crucial contest. But when he asks to exchange his prize for Mu Yao’s hand in marriage, Zhong Yelan makes a shocking decision.

While Zhong Yelan mulls over the possibility of marrying Mu Yao, Hua Qian takes matters into her own hands by asking the Princess Royal to grant him permission. Later, Junior Lord Wu Shuomo proposes a dangerous alliance.

Amid wedding preparations for Mu Yao and Zhong Yelan, Hua Qian’s brother Hua Shen faces punishment for allegedly causing the death of a young maid. Later, Junior Lord Wu Shuomo makes a last-ditch effort to woo Mu Yao.

After Mu Yao accuses Hua Shen of behaving inappropriately towards her, a furious Zhong Yelan hauls Hua Shen straight to jail. Later, Hua Qian demands the truth about the altercation from Mu Yao, who shares a harsh truth about Hua Qian’s brother.

Distressed by her brother’s predicament, Hua Qian isolates herself at home. To cheer her up, Zhong Xiwu takes her into the city, where Hua Qian accidentally gets drunk.

While negotiating her brother’s freedom with Mu Yao, Hua Qian visits her father to discuss the future of their family. Later, Zhong Yelan continues his refusal to divorce Hua Qian, insisting she would remain protected in the marriage.

After a change of heart, Mu Yao pleads with Zhong Yelan to release Hua Shen. Meanwhile, Hua Qian orders Hua Rongzhong to locate a key witness to protect Butler Hua…and sets an ultimatum for her father.

At the Mid-Autumn Festival, assassins once again attack Zhong manor. During the fight, Hua Shen suffers a grave injury but fails to protect Hua Qian, who is kidnapped by the mysterious assailants.

As the Hua family mourns a death, Zhong Xiwu, after learning that his brother Zhong Yelan has finally agreed to a divorce, confesses his true feelings to Hua Qian. Later, Zhong Xiwu uncovers more about the assassins’ activities.

After Hua Rongzhou falls into a coma, Hua Qian sets out to uncover the identities of her brother’s killers and begins to suspect that Mu Yao and Wu Shuomo are the masterminds. Later, Hua Qian visits the Princess Royal to discuss her divorce.

After an uncomfortable run-in with Meng Yifei, who harbors her own feelings for Zhong Xiwu, Hua Qian investigates the masterminds behind the attack and learns that her brother’s death was not part of their plan.

While Hua Qian blackmails Mu Yao into tracking down Hua Shen’s killer, Hua Rongzhou goes on a mission for Hua Qian. Later, Mu Yao finally admits her involvement in the attack to Zhong Yelan.

Hoping to protect Hua Qian, Zhong Xiwu exposes Hua Rongzhou’s past crimes and arrests him for murder. With Mu Yao’s help, Hua Qian learns the true identity of Hua Shen’s killer and his intended target at the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Hua Rongzhou confesses the truth about his abusive past to Hua Qian, who vows to get him out of prison. Later, Zhong Yelan offers his help in Hua Qian’s investigation of Hua Rongzhou’s accusers.

Zhong Xiwu reveals that he has evidence of Butler Hua’s crimes and persuades Hua Qian to plead guilty to grant her father leniency. Meanwhile, Hua Qian is forced to keep the identity of Hua Shen’s killer a secret and uncovers a betrayal from a confidante.
