The Palace

Separated by the rise of the Berlin Wall, Marlene and Christine begin looking for answers after their paths cross at the Palace’s celebration of 40 years of the GDR.

To keep hold of their newfound sisterhood, Marlene returns to the GDR for Christine’s solo premiere in Jubilee. Meanwhile, both sisters struggle to get answers about the past.

Christine takes Marlene's passport to cross the border and meet her father. Meanwhile, Marlene pretends to be Christine in the GDR.

A guest choreographer arrives at the Palace. Pretending to be ill, Marlene must convince the Englishman to let her recover before she can dance at rehearsals.

To be closer to her mother and sister, Marlene moves to West Berlin. Trouble is brewing as the Ministry of Culture begins to question whether the Palace’s new show holds to the principles of the socialist GDR.

Marlene buys tickets for the next show for the whole family, but as she tries to enter the GDR, she is arrested at the border. Will Rosa once again lose a daughter?
