Riding in Darkness

Molly leaves high school and starts work at Heddesta Riding centre outside Göteborg. She thinks she has arrived in paradise, but soon sees signs that all is not well at the riding school.

When the riding instructor Tommy makes sexual advances towards one of Molly’s riding pupils, Molly decides to leave Heddesta. But will she report Tommy to the police, or just try to put it all behind her?

Tommy is arrested on a charge of sexual assault against Molly and three other stable girls. Molly’s best friend Frida still lives in Heddesta, and is pressurised by Tommy to witness in his favour.

The trial continues against the riding instructor Tommy. A new witness turns out to be decisive for its outcome.

The TV documentary on Tommy’s downfall has a catastrophic effect on Molly. Tommy is released from prison and Lotta hopes that he has learned a lesson. But has he really changed?

Victoria is turning 18 and dad Tommy invites her out to a restaurant, only to give her an unpleasant surprise. Victoria moves out and her little sister Agnes also flees the family home.

Victoria’s, Agnes’ and Lotta’s revelations lead to a new trial against Tommy.

Victoria starts blogging about her childhood and growing up in Heddesta. The blog creates rings on the water which affect the lives of everyone involved.
