Based on real-life events in Canada, "Savage Messiah" follows a social worker (Polly Walker) whose determination finally brings a cult leader to justice. Roch Thériault (Luc Picard) presides over a bizarre commune that includes his eight wives and 26 children. Everything seems serene but, as the social worker investigates, she discovers a dead child and shocking mental and physical abuse.
