Risky Romance

After an unfortunate accident, Seung-joo has become a completely different person. In order to find out the cause, In-ah continuously suggests to Seung-joo that he should get examined, but she is rebuffed each time. She becomes suspicious when she notices Seung-joo reacts with hostility only towards her.

Seung-joo, In-ah, and Jae-hwan head to Krabi, Thailand on a business trip. As Seung-joo's misunderstandings about In-ah grow, his words toward her become increasingly harsher and hurt her. In-ah tries her best to understand Seung-joo and his actions, but in the end, she loses her temper.

Seung-joo begins to follow In-ah around in order to find a way to have her kicked out of the hospital. As fate would have it, In-ah unwittingly ends up in a personal relationship with a patient. Seung-joo witnesses this and reports In-ah, putting her in danger of being fired from the hospital.

Seung-joo is feeling miserable after a failed operation. To make matters worse, video surfaces online that shows him getting into a fight with a reporter. He is enraged when he falsely believes In-ah to be the one who uploaded the video. Meanwhile, after leaving the hospital, In-ah decides to open her own clinic.

Seung-joo is furious when he hears news that In-ah's clinic has opened. Jae-hwan can't understand Seung-joo's increasingly excessive behavior. Meanwhile, Se-ra is afraid the truth will be revealed when she finds out Jae-hwan is trying to restore Han-sung's cell phone.

In-ah and Seung-joo run into each other by coincidence on Hwa-ahn Island. While spending time together, Seung-joo is again suspicious of In-ah and her true self.

Jae-hwan becomes certain that Se-ra might have been involved in some way with Han-sung.

Jae-hwan feels threatened when he sees In-ah and Seung-joo grow close and he can't bring himself to tell Se-ra's secret to Seung-joo. Seung-joo is worried when he is asked to perform Min-gi's second operation. As In-ah tries to help Seung-joo recover from his trauma, she becomes gradually attracted to him.

Seung-joo is grateful In-ah is trying her best to help him, but he also feels miserable when he remembers what happened to Han-sung. In the end, he moves out of In-ah's house. In-ah is surprised and confused by Seung-joo's sudden change in attitude.

In-ah is flustered by Seung-joo's sudden kiss and expression of his feelings. Jae-hwan doesn't like how Seung-joo is manipulating In-ah. Meanwhile, Seung-joo makes up his mind about In-ah and visits Han-sung's ashes.

After all of his misunderstandings about In-ah are cleared up, Seung-joo wants to apologize for the way he has acted towards her, but he can't bring himself to reveal the truth to her. Unaware of how he feels, In-ah happily spends time with Seung-joo.

Seung-joo decides to tell In-ah the truth when he sees her mourn Han-sung but fails due to Se-ra's interference. After learning the real reason why Seung-joo tormented her, In-ah begins to doubt Seung-joo's feelings for her.

Se-ra gives In-ah an ultimatum. If In-ah doesn't throw Seung-joo out, Se-ra will move out. Seeing In-ah's dilemma, Seung-joo decides to move out for her sake. Meanwhile, In-ah is shocked when she hears a message left by Han-sung from a year ago.

With all misunderstandings between them now gone, Seung-joo and In-ah continue to build their loving relationship. Meanwhile, as Seung-joo is put in charge of the Chairman's surgery, continuous pressure from Jae-hwan's father and threats from the vice-director forces Jae-hwan to consider doing something unthinkable.

As Seung-joo's feelings for In-ah grows, the pain in his head becomes more severe as well. He begins to avoid her in order to hide his symptoms. In-ah senses something is wrong from Seung-joo's sudden change in attitude.

After much thought, Seung-joo breaks up with In-ah. After finding out about his condition, In-ah is distressed by the fact her very existence puts Seung-joo at risk. Meanwhile, Jae-hwan falls into deep contemplation when he is asked to perform Seung-joo's operation by Seung-joo himself.
