Diamond Geezers: The Biggest Failed Heist in History

It was a plot worthy of a James Bond movie and would have been England's heist of the Millennium had it not been for the London Met Police's Flying Squad. In 2000, a gang of aging villains hatched an audacious plan to steal the world's largest perfect diamond make their getaway by speedboat up the River Thames. If successful, it would have made the Great Train Robbery look like petty theft.
