Tragedy strikes and leaves what is left of the Mall Rats grief stricken and shocked. A satellite becomes a talisman for a sinister tribe in a distant land who set off on a journey and brings about danger to the fragile alliance and peace of Sector 9.

The Mall Rats come to terms with their loss and newfound hope and romance is in the air for some members of the tribe. But the hope is shattered by the arrival of The Chosen. And what is the mystery surrounding the self-proclaimed Guardian of the cause?

Alice finds her peaceful existence on the farm disrupted and The Chosen are a constant source of danger. Back at the Mall - is there any hope for Lex? Tai San seems to think so. But the virus is taking hold of more than one and desperation is all around.

Tai San falls ill and the tribe ponder if a medicine woman can physician heal herself. The maternal dream takes on a new meaning when a babysitter finds herself in a nightmare.

Trudy is frantic, torn apart by guilt over the situation with Brady. And Danni is jealous as Bray tries to give comfort. The Chosen and the distorted message by the Guardian of their cause bring hysteria, suspicion, rage, fear and devastation to all in the land.

Is something sinister being planned? Most are suspicious of Ebony's true motives. Jack and Ellie's romance flourishes but forgiveness is hard and guilt is almost too much to bear.

Danni reports the Bill of Rights is set for signing. Lex has his own agenda to pursue his own rights. All concerned that there might be something in the antidote that can do more harm than good.

Bray is torn apart as he tries to come to terms with Danni being imprisoned, for all that she professes her innocence and blames Ebony as the culprit who committed the crime. Amidst all the rage, passion, guilt and grief, suspicion arises when it seems there's a spy in the Mall.

The Tribe's trust in Bray is compromised in the midst of Danni's trial and he finds himself in conflict as he discovers secrets surrounding Danni's past which could be central to the entire future and well-being of not only those in the tribe but all in the land.

The market opens for trade and Danni tries to dissuade Jack and Ellie from continuing their investigation. But they remain sure that there is more to Danni's story than meets the immediate eye.

Ryan and Salene's contentment about being in a relationship is put under strain when Danni reveals more details about her father in the old world. The future of the new world proves equally uncertain as all ponder the frightening implications of genetic engineering.

Bray and Danni's dream of a united society seems to be coming to fruition. Jack finds himself left in the shadows as Ellie takes her investigative reporting to new heights - only to resign as editor of the Amulet - and considers Tai San's revelations that they are more spiritual rather than material reasons. Propaganda is only one of them.
