Just a few weeks before the general election Sarah Farzin, the chief of staff at the Justice Department disappears without a trace. The Minister of Justice, Gunnar Ljunghed, replaces her with his former protégé Elin Hammar.

The more Elin investigates Sarah´s disappearance the more she is convinced that something terrible has happened to her. Trygghetspartiet sees Annika´s murder as a golden opportunity to win new sympathies and votes.
