Ice Vikings

It is an early kick-off to the winter fishing season on Lake Winnipeg as temperatures plunge and the Ice Viking fishing crews scramble to get onto the ice with their nets.

The fishing crew takes the ice tanks onto the lake as they kick off the Bombardier season.

Chris Kristjanson receives delivery of his Dad's new lifting caboose but is reluctant to use it as the -40 Celsius temperatures begin to cause havoc with the crews.

Justin and Mike sail to Hecla Island to look for larger harvests.

Cracks form in Richard and Mike's fishing plan, thanks to widening ice gaps, breakdowns, and dwindling fish stocks. Then, the Kristjanson crew deal with yet another ice-tank issue as rising water keeps them from their nets.

Trevor Kristjanson contemplates making big moves with his fishing operation as his Dad Chris enjoys his new lifting caboose and is contemplating an early finish to the year.

Trevor is also set to finish early for the year, so not only does he have bragging rights of being the first one onto the ice this season, but he's also set to be the first one off as he hits his quota, or so he thinks.

Chris Kristjanson gets a call from a sick fisherman asking him to finish his quota for the season, that means all-hands-on-deck as the Kristjanson's rush to catch fish before the ice melts and the season ends.
