Vikings Valhalla

"Vikings: Valhalla" chronicles the adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived — the legendary Leif Eriksson, his headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter, and Prince Harald Sigurdsson — as they begin an epic journey...into history.

Eight Greenlanders, lead by Leif Eriksson and his sister Freydis, arrive in Kattegat for the first time on a mission of revenge. Their quest collides with the gathering of a great Viking army by Prince Harald of Norway and King Canute of Denmark.

Harald chooses Leif to captain his boat to England for the invasion. By the end of the journey, Leif leaves no one in doubt that he knows what it means to be a Viking. In Kattegat, Freydis is mentored by Jarl Haakon, the pagan leader of Kattegat.

With Canute’s Viking army camped outside of London, a great marsh and the London Bridge threaten the Vikings’ plans. But Leif and Harald present King Canute with a radical plan of attack. Meanwhile, Freydis begins her long journey to Uppsala.

Leif (Sam Corlett) and Harald's (Leo Suter) plan to take England focuses on the great London Bridge. Meanwhile, the battle for London become a battle of wits between King Canute (Bradley Freegard) and England’s new King Edmund (Louis Davison).

In the bloody aftermath of battle, Leif tries to understand his survival against all the odds – is it luck, or is it a miracle? Meanwhile, King Canute makes Harald an offer he can’t refuse...and an announcement that shocks the Viking world.

Freydis encounters the Christian zealot Jarl Kåre, whose mission to rid Scandinavia of its pagan past clashes with Freydis' new found destiny. As a result of her meeting with Kåre, Freydis heads back to Kattegat to warn Jarl Haakon.

Leif and Harald return victorious to Kattegat and find a changed Freydis. A power-struggle erupts around the throne in England and battle looms in Kattegat. It’s time to back the winning side, it’s time to make choices.

In the powerful season finale, the epic struggle between the old ways and the new draws, the epic struggle between the old ways and the new draws to a close in Kattegat but the story is not over...it’s simply The End of the Beginning.
