Third-year college student Kazumi is a refreshing and energetic young adult with a positive attitude. The only thing is he just can't say "no." At college orientation, he joined twenty-one clubs because he couldn't refuse any invitations. At least he has no shortage of friends! It costs money to maintain all those friendships, but Kazumi has a nifty approach. ©NIPPON TV

Shuzo and Mimi are tormented by delusions of debt, and Kazumi also dreams he is taken to Omuomu as collateral for his mother's debt. While feeling dragged down by this nightmare, he meets Teruteru and Chagi who are throwing away a moldy “mirror mochi.” To Shuzo and Mimi’s bewilderment, Kazumi takes the discarded “mirror mochi.” ©NIPPON TV

Chagi and Teruteru show up at Kazumi's apartment to announce his interest rate. It's an illegal rate that charges 10% every ten days. Kazumi is shocked to learn that his debt of 1.06 million yen will turn into 30 million yen if left unpaid. Kazumi promises Shuzo and Mimi that he will not sink further into debt. ©NIPPON TV

Kazumi, Shuzo, and Mimi discuss how Kazumi will pay Omuomu his 1.06 million yen debt within a week. Shuzo suggests betting on horseracing, but Mimi and Kazumi don't have faith it will work. Despite their inhibitions, they ultimately win big, but as Kazumi goes to pay off his debt, he is stopped by Ryo. ©NIPPON TV

Omuomu tells Kazumi that despite being in debt, he's not recognizing that he's reached rock bottom. Omuomu agrees to wipe the interest if Kazumi gives up his normal life and vacates his apartment. While Kazumi finalizes all the paperwork, he receives a visit from his mom Shizue, who raises concerns about Kazumi’s phone line being disconnected. ©NIPPON TV

Kazumi begins living in the streets, but he's driven out of the park by other homeless people. Finally, he ends up camping in a dump. His friend Sunagawa tells him that he wants to get rid of his TV, and this inspires Kazumi to start up a barter shop. Kazumi will earn money by charging a transportation fee for taking various items to customers in a cart. ©NIPPON TV

As Kazumi sets out in the early morning to trade goods, Ryo goes to see Mimi. He tells her that Kazumi's 10 million yen debt is his fault. Meanwhile at Omuomu's apartment, Shuzo repays his loan. On his way out, he swears vehemently to cut ties with Kazumi. Omuomu is shocked, but intrigued. ©NIPPON TV

Omuomu summons Mimi to tell her about his past. His lover fell gravely ill, but she passed because he could not pay for her surgery or hospitalization. Mimi rushes to repeat what she just heard to Kazumi and Shuzo at the laundromat. Meanwhile, the hosts at Omuomu's host club cause a commotion. ©NIPPON TV

(Final Episode) Kazumi meets Omuomu at a warehouse for a final showdown. Omuomu suggests a battle by putting stamps on envelopes again. Kazumi must apply postage stamps to 2.22 million envelopes before 6 a.m. Last time, Kazumi had to hire his friends to help him, but Omuomu says this time no one is allowed to help. ©NIPPON TV
