Arthur, son of King Pendragon, has pulled the sword Excalibur from the stone. Chosen by the Gods, he becomes King of Britain, under Roman rule, and establishes his court at the castle of Kaamelott. He aims to unite the Breton clans around the Round Table to seek the Holy Grail. Married to Guinevere, he struggles to produce an heir, while order is maintained through war and diplomatic alliances.
