Fishing All Stars

Dean Macey and Adam Rooney head across the English Channel to France to sample some of the fantastic fishing on offer. They start off on the River Meuse, in the Champagne-Ardenne region, which is renowned for producing good numbers of barbel, but one of them quickly finds himself attached to something far bigger.

Dean Macey is joined by regular fishing companion and renowned angler, Nigel Botherway, as they travel into the heart of the Surrey countryside to Bury Hill Fishery. They kick things off with a session on Milton Lake, where they target crucian carp using traditional float fishing tactics, before trying their luck for one of the tench which inhabit the water.

Adam Rooney has had plenty of success in matches at the Willinghurst Fishery complex, near Guildford, and he is keen to show Dean Macey just how much fun it can be. They start off on one of the easier lakes, where Adam is soon bagging up on chunky carp on his match gear, whilst Dean picks up a few on his specimen carp tackle, before taking a more mobile approach with some rather unusual baits!

Situated near Newquay, White Acres is arguably the most famous fishery in the country for match fishing, as well as being a popular holiday destination. Adam Rooney is joined by fellow match stars Steve Ringer, Pemb Wrighting and Paul Holland, as they split into pairs for a head-to-head match across two days.

The River Wye is one of the most iconic rivers in the UK, winding its way through the Herefordshire countryside, and is renowned for producing large numbers of barbel and chub.
