My Dear Brothers

Between a scholarship or news regarding her long lost brother Shi Dong, Shi Xia rushes to the Internet cafe to get clues. She rushes to the carnival to find her brother, but instead mysteriously falls into a puddle that would transport her into another dimension. There, she is rescued and greeted by Hou Chi.

Shi Xia learns that women are not allowed inside of the Yuhua Sect one morning. While Shi Xia tries to find a way home, Hou Chi asks for help on how to become a good brother to protect his younger sister.

When Shi Xia mistakes Hou Chi as trying to pursue her, Hou Chi comes clean about wanting to be her brother. Hou Chi asks Bi Hong to let Shi Xia learn immoralities at YuHua College and dresses her up as a male scholar. At the dorm showers, she learns that her classmate Qing Feng is also a lady disguised as a man.

Shi Xia and Qing Feng both fear being caught disguising as a man so Shi Xia calls Hou Chi to come help. Although not wanting to be caught leaving his practice area, Hou Chi leaves anyway. Shi Xia ventures out at night to collect more herbs for medicine that can help disguise her female aura at school and is rescued by Hou Chi when danger strikes.

Hou Chi promises Shi Xia that she can be sent home once he is the lord of the Ten Thousand Immortals. In the meantime, Shi Xia promises to be his sister if Hou Chi could agree on 3 rules. During practice, Shi Xia learns the tree Hou Chi practices on is wilted. Shi Xia wants to fix the tree and asks Bi Hong for help.

Shi Xia tries to find a cure for the wilted spiritual tree but her treatment doesn't seem to work. She is saddened when she finds the tree is already missing the roots, meaning the tree is already rotten. When Shi Xia and Hou Chi accidentally kiss, Yi Yao Gua oversees and becomes extremely jealous. Yi Yao Gua tries to pressure her into saying the truth by the river.

Yi Yao Gua is so furious with Hou Chi and Shi Xia that he asks Lin Kui to burn a portrait of his idol Hou Chi. He also went to the masters to report what he saw of Hou Chi and Shi Xia. During the trial, Shi Xia's hair gets untied and reveals herself as a female. The masters learn that Shi Xia is looking for their enemy Shi Dong, the Demon King.

Hou Chi is under trial for keeping a woman inside his dormitory. He is penalized by a fire whip. Shi Xia is locked up but Hou Chi visits her one last time before competing in the contest. Bi Hong gives him a map to help him with the roads. Meanwhile, Shi Dong overhears about the contained Shi Xia and rescues her at night, only to reveal a big secret.

Shi Xia learns that Shi Dong accidentally teleported through the waters at the carnival too. After learning Shi Xia was taken by the Demon King, Hou Chi changes his route to save her. But knowing both men want to become the Ten Thousand Immortals, Shi Xia gets worried. To enter the Devil Sect, Hou Chi must visit the Fairy-Demon Town first. There, both leaders find out their opponents.

Shi Xia is sad to walk into an empty room. She goes out to the village to find Hou Chi. Hou Chi finds an acting show and interferes. Shi Dong sees his enemy and fights him on stage when suddenly Shi Xia stops them both. Shi Xia promises to her real brother that she will be a spy for him.

In an attempt to prevent Hou Chi from harming Shi Xia, Shi Dong asks Hou Chi to follow three rules. Shi Dong tricks Hou Chi into going to the restaurant to "find his sister," but really to prove a point to Shi Xia. Hou Chi rates all the girls a pass and makes Shi Xia jealous. On the second day of the ratings, a lady in white dances and approaches Shi Dong unexpectedly.

The lady in white is introduced as Shi Dong's cousin, Qiu Li. Qiu Li feels as if Shi Dong and Shi Xia's relationship is a bit strange and overhears that Shi Xia is his biological sister. Zhao Gongzi and his junior colleague come into the restaurants for a drink and mysteriously consumes a drugged wine. Shi Xia consumes a shot too and hides in the closet in fear of making love with Hou Chi.

Shi Dong learned that Shi Xia had consumed the drugged wine and rushed to her room to save her. In an attempt to do so, he is disqualified from the test because he broke into someone else's room. To create an antidote for the poisoned Shi Xia, someone must take a pill that could create a cure. Shi Dong takes the pill and his body experiences discomfort.

Shi Xia comes clean to Hou Chi about Shi Dong being her biological brother. While outside, she receives an anonymous note saying she must admit she is a spy for the Demon King or else he would be killed. At night, Shi Xia tells Hou Chi to leave her alone and she never viewed him as a real brother. Hou Chi is heartbroken.

On the day of the preliminary exam, Hou Chi is found passed out on the floor. If he misses this exam, he must wait another 600 years. Since Shi Xia felt guilty, she forced herself to go through the Dark Forest to talk to Shen Guan for a make-up exam. Stranded inside the forest, a mysterious someone comes to her rescue.

Trapped inside the Dark Forest, Bi Hong and Shi Xia start to hallucinate. When they finally find Shen Guan, she offers Shi Dong a second chance for the test due to a developing crush. After negotiating with Shen Guan, Hou Chi gets a retake too. When Shi Dong goes inside the forest to visit, Shen Guan senses something off about him.

The candidates learn that they will take the exam in Demon Sect. The Immortal Queen comes out when she hears the two siblings talk secretly. She vows to never let Shi Xia leave the Demon Sect. Shen Guan announces they must be the first to find the Holy Garment. As everyone looks for an alliance, they are caught off guard when they hear a sudden shriek and find two corpses.

The masters of Yuhua blame the people of Demon Sect for the dead bodies recently. Shi Xia receives a letter to meet Hou Chi in the hills, but she spots Lin Hui lurking around. As part of the Immortal Queen's plan, Shi Xia is lured inside a portrait. Hou Chi soon followed. Shi Xia manages to escape, but Hou Chi is trapped inside. Qi LingLing almost rips the portrait.

Right before Shi Xia loses her life to the sword, Hou Chi escapes from the portrait to rescue her. Shi Dong tells her that Bi Hong had lost his sight in the Dark Forest. Shi Xia leads his brother to the tunnel where she was tricked into. Lin Kui is brought to trial and Qiu Feng kills him unexpectedly. Qiu Li is trapped inside their lair so Shi Dong can search the Holy Garment on his own.

Since Shi Xia and Hou Chi are official siblings, approved by the masters, Hou Chi asks Shi Dong on how to be a good brother. Shi Dong soon finds out Shi Xia has lost her taste after her visit to the Dark Forest. The masters give Bi Hong and Shi Xia a pair of jade bracelets in hopes of the two dating, but Hou Chi mistakens. A master accuses Devil Sect of stealing the Immortal perception.

Shi Dong uses the Immortal perception to lead them to the Holy Garment. En route to the Garment, Shi Xia and Hou Chi were asked to do a favor by dressing up as bride and groom. The Immortal Queen gives the dead master's vision back to Bi Hong. Hou Chi wants to be a brother-in-law and not just a brother to Shi Xia.

After confessing his love to Shi Xia, the couple hides from the masters. They once again teleport into the portrait. Hou Chi was ready to give up all the powers that he had been mastering to help Shi Xia escape. After the two kiss, they are transported out of the realm and Hou Chi puts on the Holy Garment.

After being pricked with the Evil Aura, Hou Chi must find a cure for it. Bi Hong poisons the master to learn about his past and why he had forgotten most of his childhood. When Qiu Li learns that Shi Dong wants to go back to his real home with Shi Xia, the Immortal Aunt comes out and tries to kill them both.

Shi Xia learns about Qiu Li's split personality disorder. Meanwhile, Hou Chi asks his master to allow Shi Xia to return back to YuHua Sect with them. Since Hou Chi and Shi Xia are officially a couple, Shi Dong writes a list of rules for him to follow.
