Prisoners of War

Three Prisoners of War are coming home. Nimrode Klein, Uri Zach and Amiel Ben-Chorin are coming home. The first two are alive, while Amiel was killed in captivity. Nimrode meets wife Talia, who's been waiting all these years. He meets his 19-year-old daughter Dana and his son whom he's never met. Uri meets his fiancée Nurit, and discovers she married his brother after he became a POW.

Nimrode and Uri are taken to an interrogation facility, where they meet Haim, a military psychologist who's supposed to figure out exactly what they went through in captivity. Talia struggles to deal with the fact that he's suddenly back home. Nurit is torn between Yaki and Uri, whose return has awakened feelings she thought were long gone.

The interrogation continues. They do not know that an intelligence officer is decoding their secret language. Nurit prepares herself for Uri's return. She makes dinner and cuts her hair, much to Yaki's displeasure. Yael still sees her brother Amiel in her mind's eye.

Uri is depressed. He refuses to get out of bed. Nurit tries to talk to him, but he won't answer her phone calls. Yoske gives him a stack of letters his mother wrote to him throughout the years. Uri reads the letters at the cemetery, where he meets a young woman, Iris, who invites him out for coffee. Nimrode gets a surprise visit from Haim while alone in the house and suffers a panic attack.

Amiel Ben-Chorin's funeral. Uri and his brother Yaki talk for the first time since Uri's return. Nimrode visits a bereaved father who was opposed to the POW exchange.

Talia and Nimrode are interviewed for a TV special, where Talia hears that Nimrode is going to start working for an ad agency. They fight. Talia takes Dana to see a psychologist. Talia confesses to her friend Shiri that she finds Nimrode's presence oppressive. Uri starts working at his father's store.

Talia and Nimrode enjoy the intimacy of their bedroom after the children have left. Dana's "relationship" with Dr. Ostrovsky is taken to the next level. Iris takes Uri for a walking tour of Jerusalem. Nimrode is not happy at work. He suffers a panic attack. He tries to decipher the meaning of the note given to him in captivity.

Uri and Nimrode disappear, and their families are starting to get worried. The Klein family is finding a few joyous moments, precisely when Nimrode is not there. Talia shows Nimrode the injuries she got while he had nightmares.

Nimrode still suffers from nightmares, and dreams of the night he killed Amiel. He wakes up in terror and Talia tries to convince him to talk to her. Yael tries to find Ilan's home address, and decides to go there without his knowledge. Talia and Nimrode visit a support group of couples who share the same problems because one spouse was a prisoner of war.

In the last episode of the season all major characters in the drama reach a critical juncture in their lives. Talia makes Nimrode choose between a future with her, or a life of misery. Nurit has to choose between Yaki and Uri. Yael has to confront the death of her brother. Uri and Nimrode venture on a quest, driven by a clue Zieneb gave them, and Haim and Iris try to follow them.
