Claus is ready to retire. From his new base in Brazil, he is planning his last major job. The last, large batch of cannabis is about to be sailed from Morocco to Denmark. But something goes wrong.

The noose tightens. In Denmark, the police are looking for a missing, dead body. And in Oslo they find a torn note with a telephone number. Both things are connected to Claus Malmqvist...

Prison in Brazil is hell. But for Claus Malmqvist, it is better than going back to Denmark, where a sentence of up to 16 years awaits him. With his Brazilian family, he thinks he is secured against extradition.
