Kato Hoeven wakes up in Hotel Beau Sejour to find her own dead body in the bathtub. No one seems to be able to see or hear her except a few select people, but why? After an official search, Kato learns whether or not she’s really dead.

As a police investigation begins, Kato attends her own funeral and encounters the five people who can still see and hear her. None of them know why they are the only ones who can see her and one may be hiding something.

Vinken helps his sister-in-law and Beau Sejour owner Melanie sweep the murder evidence before the hotel’s opening, an eyelash is found on Kato’s body, and Ines meets up with a mysterious man who was with Kato the night she died.

The investigation turns to Melanie, who might have played a key role in Kato’s murder. Meanwhile, Chief Constable Marion Schneider looks into a murder from years ago, where a girl named Claudia was found dead in room 108 of another hotel.

To protect Melanie, Vinker makes a deal with Kato and shows her the footage of the man he thinks is her killer: a drug dealer named Hannes Vanderkerk. When Kato tracks him down, he turns out to be more important than she expected.

Sofia learns that she and Leon are connected by a secret family affair from the past. Kato discovers Ines’ secret and starts to sense a conspiracy between her seers. Luc convinces Kristel he can still see Kato, and a key player is killed.

After a sex tape of Sofia and Leon is released, Kato confronts Sofia, who confesses to drugging her with XTC the night she died. Luc starts taking advantage of his “gift” to spend more time with Kristel, and two more bodies are gruesomely revealed.

The double murder shocks the town and leaves investigators dumbfounded. Kato starts to suspect that the remaining seers are hiding secrets. Vinker tries to track down the killer but then learns that his son, Charlie, has made a startling confession.

Everyone seems to have secrets. Kato’s grandmother, Renee, reveals her link to Vanderkerk and Ines confesses to her connection with Luc. Unconvinced of Charlie’s confession, Kato chases a lead involving a person known as “White.”

By now it seems the whole town has been hiding dirty secrets. After a Subaru becomes key evidence, tying together Claudia’s case with the recent murders, the truth about what happened to Kato at Hotel Beau Sejour is finally revealed.
