The Tribe

The world began without the human race. Now it seems as if it will end exactly the same way. Unless the young survivors of a mysterious pandemic can unite against all the odds and build a new world from the ashes of the old.

An unlikely Tribe is formed and they take refuge in the relative safety of a looted and abandoned shopping Mall. But their first dilemma proves to be a difficult one - can any of them even be trusted?

Rivalries and uneasy alliances form in the new Tribe as they try somehow to co-exist and survive the ever present dangers in the outside world.

The Tribe celebrate the birth of a new baby but some question if it is fair to bring new life into an uncertain world. While others speculate on who the real father is.

Rationing results in sickening consequences. Power struggles, new romances and new alliances form as all plot to not solely survive but contemplate a future in which all are safe without the challenges of simply staying alive.

The dangers of the Locos are ever present as the Tribe face betrayal while straying beyond their own sector. Another shocking surprise ends in bribery while Dal has a close encounter with the past.

Tension rises, hunger is ever present, and rivalry and jealousy manifest as the Tribe realises the only hope is to band loyally together when the dead of night brings danger to the Mall and all it's inhabitants.

A sixth sense proves invaluable when the legendary Loco tribal leader Zoot is revealed to show another side. But what is the mystery and extent of his true allegiance? Can he be trusted?

Zandra rejects the amorous advances of Lex who is shocked to discover that he has a bounty on his head. Jealousy and conflicts lead to an unexpected confession...and more than one Tribe member faces danger...an ominous danger...

Uneasy alliances and relationships are strained when the decision to elect a leader is taken. Will democracy prevail amidst all the scheming dirty tricks? And Jack is devastated to discover that he faces a very real threat of expulsion and banishment from the Tribe.

Unity continues to evade the Tribe and the atmosphere is electric with tension. A terrifying moan comes from the sewers...what - or who - could it be?

Amber can't hide hints of jealousy as Bray and Trudy seem to be more than just friends. With the dangers in all the sectors ever present, Trudy struggles with her own anguish considering that she is not cut out for motherhood.

Salene is toppled from her role as primary caregiver. Lex and Amber try somehow to work together with everyone recognising that for all of Lex's co-operation on the surface deep down he intends to be top dog.

Concern mounts for Cloe who is still missing and the Locos are a little too close for comfort for someone lost and alone.

A newcomer unexpectedly arrives at the Mall and is met with both suspicion and fascination. Some welcome the opportunity to have a healer and medicine woman in the the tribe but others are threatened by the presence of the stranger.

Romance turns to horror, the elders try to introduce an educational system for the younger ones, and Bray is taken prisoner by a Loco patrol while scouting an outer sector.

Preparations for the marriage of Lex and Zandra are underway which fuels dismay and questions true motives. An alarm throws the Tribe into disarray. Especially when Ebony gatecrashes the wedding celebrations.

Flirting, girl power, passion and intimidation - can Lex navigate his way through all the obstacles, and can Amber retain control as leader as the Tribe battle against the Loco forces, as well as within themselves?

Ebony escapes and the Tribe prepare for a possible attack. Others are more concerned about personal matters when unrequited love leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

Suspicion and fear abound. Does loyalty no longer exist in this brave new world? And what about love? An eternal triangle seems ever present.

Lex and Tai San succumb to temptation, while Salene capitalises on an opportunity of experiencing motherhood. Bray's absence is a fresh source of anguish.

Love is about sharing - or is it? Tempers flare and suspicions are rife. An emotional departure is observed by a mysterious stranger.

'Things' keep going missing - including Tribe members! Trudy and Dal decide to search for new beginnings elsewhere. A newcomer is taken under the wing of a trouble maker.

Blissful ignorance for some and confusion for others. Rude awakenings and startling reactions - is the grass really greener on the other side? Certainly not for Trudy and Dal as they encounter the slave-trading Nomads.

Bray and Amber can no longer hide their true feelings. Lex claims Tai San has been responsible for his spiritual awakening. But reality bites and not everyone is happy about it. Amidst all the turmoil it's clear that something more menacing is on the horizon.
