Duty After School

A year ago, unidentified spheres fell from the skies across the world. The National Mobilization Order is issued in South Korea, where high school seniors are signing consent forms to receive extra credits for the CSAT, the college entrance exam. Thus begins 'Duty After School'!

Leaving behind the medium-sized sphere that crashed into the school, the seniors of Sungjin High School begin to receive their military training. As they get used to the training, the students leave the school for the first time after their first gun shooting practice.

Students of Class 3-2 who barely managed to survive return back to Sungjin High School. Now that they have seen the reality of the spheres, they are conflicted on whether to stay at school or leave for the shelter where their parents are.

After a desperate struggle to leave the school, the first group of students headed to the garrison gets into a rollover accident. The students search for a safe place to treat So-yeon's injuries. Will they be able to return safely?

At the military camp, the students are no longer in their school uniforms but instead in military clothes. Momentarily away from the threat of the spheres, they start to get used to camp life. However, their glimpse of hope of returning home is short-lived, as the students are now deployed into a military operation as reservists instead of trainees.

In the midst of a desperate crisis full of dangers, everyone's lives are at stake. Will the student reservists be able to safely complete the operation and stay alive?

As the students have grown accustomed to both spheres and death, they have learned to smile again. However, they were unaware of the cracks that had started to form between them. Meanwhile, they come across a group of strangers asking for help.

It wasn't just the sphere that the students had to confront! The students are struggling to protect each other in this nightmare reality. They must escape from this dreadful hell all together.

As the students face the unbearable secret, their suspicions towards each other reach their peak, to the point where the cracks in their relationships seem irreparable. The time to make the inevitable decision has come, and the students decide to go back to Seoul. Was leaving the rest area really the best choice they had?

The students resolve existing conflicts as they rely on and take care of each other. However, an event that none of them ever expected occurs. Will they be able to go back home all together?
