After finalizing preparations, the journey to the island began. Upon arrival at the rain-soaked rain forest property, it was time to start getting ready for the long year ahead.

As summer neared its end, it was time to build a cabin and set up the homestead.

As winter sets in it becomes a constant chore to deal with heavy snow and a permeating silence in this place.

Isolation sets in with travel limited by 275 inches of snow. Time to hunker down for the long winter.
