With Winnie expecting another baby, Mandela's constantly being shuttled from one safe house to another. Running out of money, Mandela takes a risky trip abroad to raise funds for the ANC.

The rise of the Black Consciousness Movement threatens both Vorster's reign of the country and Mandela's position in the ANC. With the country in a state of contention, Mandela is left as the only man who can finally unify a the divided nation.
