Hidden: First Born

At a construction site, 26-year-old loner Jonas Hellemyr has a bad fall and crushes his skull. He is rushed to the hospital and declared dead, but suddenly wakes up and runs in a panic. There is a large, flaming red birthmark on his chest

Jonas meets Rebecka at the hospital. They still have feelings for each other. Rebecka finds it hard to believe Jonas' stories about the accident but still sneaks him into an MRI. The pictures reveal traces of a metal implant in Jonas' brain, which must have come loose when he fell. But where is it now?

Borg tells Eldh that the Communion wants Jonas to be "burned out" for killing the baby. Eldh objects. He could be innocent.

Hidden dignitaries, among them Ninni Ek and Paul Kron, attend the Communion leader's funeral. In the back, Borg whispers to someone: "It's done. Hellemyr is dead."

The Outriders tell Jonas what he really is - a Hidden, with special abilities. Jonas mentions the threads of light he saw at Wittsätra and Leander helps him bring them back. What he sees is radio waves and energy.

Jonas finds Eldh and learns that the Hidden often live twice as long as humans, but need human adrenalin to survive. Leander was sucking it out of the teenager - "burning him out".

Jonas finds Wennerbom at scientist Paul Kron's mercy and learns that his implant was put in to suppress a lethal, hereditary disease.
