WAYNE is a 16-year-old Dirty Harry with a heart of gold, who sets out on a dirt bike to Ocala, Florida with his new crush Del to take back the 1979 Trans-Am that was stolen from his father.

Del starts to question her choice to leave home when Wayne fails to perform a simple task for her. Wayne crosses paths with a dangerous criminal who threatens to cut Wayne and Del's trip short.

Orlando tries to convince Principal Cole to take a road trip to find Wayne. Sergeant Geller, given a "second chance" himself, starts following leads to find the missing teens.

After being robbed, Wayne goes to work as a day laborer as Del becomes obsessed with a stranger's death.

A look back on a day long before Wayne met Del, a day that changed Del, Daddy and the boys forever.

Del is mistakenly nabbed by truancy officers and Wayne becomes concerned that she's feeling nostalgic for the life she's left behind when they make friends at a Carolina high school.

Wayne struggles with whether or not to tell Del that her father is in the hospital, clinging to life. Del wrestles with the idea of saying goodbye to her father despite their tumultuous past.

Wayne and Del finally reach Ocala, FL and find his father's car by chance at a gas station. Wayne tracks it down and is unexpectedly reunited with his mother.

Wayne feels out a new life with his mother in Florida. But things go south fast when Donna has to make a hard decision about her son.

Wayne, rejected by both his mother and Del, finds himself arrested in Ocala.
