Djupvik discovers that the new Minister of Defense Harald Vold is behind Anita Rygg's murder. The EU pressures Jesper but he continues to sit on the sideline.

Vold tries to expose Jesper as a profiteer at the same time as opposition against the Russians and everyone associated with them increases.

The #BrandThem hate campaign is escalating and it is becoming clear that Vold is involved. Jesper admits his feelings for Marie. Sidorova and Lyubov are drawn into a Russian conspiracy.

Jesper is doing well in the election until rumors spread that he is responsible for Anita Rygg's murder.

Bente's testimony leads the Supreme Court to recommend that Jesper be prosecuted, after which Jesper must decide whether to give up or flee.
