Chen and Yang already got the news that Zhang Jiu and Elephant Man are to conduct face to face transaction, so the two young men devised a plan to do a fake transaction with Getai. In order to be able to find the whereabouts of Zhang Jiu, Chen and Yang persuade Lieutenant Zhu to let them secretly "save" the injured Ah Dao who can lead the way.

Zhang Chen captures Zhang Jiu but he told his mother is kidnapped, he was forced to release Zhang Jiu, and he has to complete task under coercion. Savika was ordered to monitor Zhang Chen, but by doing so sees his good side. Upon learning the new drug lord's plan, the police set out to arrest them, Guo Yang sees Zhang Chen also at the scene of drug transaction.

Finally, Zhang Chen persuades Guo Yang to let him go. Liu Yixiao throws off the police and sneaks out, she is found by Guo Yang, who then accompanies her to return to her parents' house, but finds Liu Yifan committed suicide in the house. According to the monitoring provided by Chen and Yang, the police finds out that the mysterious man who attacked Liu Yixiao is Guo Hai's student Meng Tong, therefore also setting Guo Hai as a suspect.

With the police, Chen and Yang trace the attacker of Liu Yixiao, they suspect Meng Tong. In the meantime, Zhang Jiu discovers the true identity of Guo Hai with the help of Getai, he tries to lobby him with as the new drug lord. Facing Guo Yang's resistance, Zhang Chen has to seek collaboration with Liu Yixiao, in order to let her relax.

Faced with solid evidence, Meng Tong confesses all the tasks he undertook under the directions of Guo Hai, including Liu Yixiao's attack and Liu Yifan's death. At this time the drug gang's internal conflict escalates, Zhang Chen exchanges Meng Tong's intel in exchange for a video call with his mother, with the help of Lieutenant Zhu, he finally identifies the location of his mother's detainment.

Guo Yang finally sees the true color of Guo Hai, he also understands the difficulty of Zhang Chen with the help of Liu Yixiao, he hopes he can trust his partner with his life. The Chief agrees for Liu Yixiao to help replicate the new drugs using the formula found in Yifan's computer. Zhang Chen is eager to save his mother, thanks to Savika, who lets him go. Zhang Jiu escapes, Zhang Chen's life is saved.

Liu Yixiao tries to show Guo Yang all the proof of Guo Hai's various criminal acts, but by Guo Yang does not believe her, she is very disappointed, but can also understand. Shen Yu learns of Zhang Jiu's flee route; he gets ready to kill the the new drug lord. Lieutenant Hao specially permitted Guo Yang to track down Zhang Jiu along with the police.

Disregarding his injuries, Zhang Chen and Guo Yang go to the address passed to them by Savika to to rescue his mother. Savka does not want to run and kill Chen's mother as ordered by Zhang Jiu, she tries to fake the death of Chen's mother to fool Getai, but unsuccessful. Zhang Chen persuades Savika to cooperate with the police to arrest Zhang Jiu.

The police did not get much from Getai's interrogation, but they think that Zhang Jiu and Savika have special relation, Zhang might contact Savika again. Zhang Chen and Savika pretend to take refuge in the new drug lord, they live in the "safe house" waiting for instructions.
