Over the past 16 months, young, blonde, blue-eyed women have been found dead and buried in a field of asphodels. NYPD detective Tommy Conley is on a special dispensation to observe the Stockholm PD.

Haunted by his past and the death of his girlfriend Maggie, Conley is dedicated to keeping the killer from finding his victims. With Eklund's team of Swedish officers, he is shadowing the two main suspects.

The team and the Stockholm PD are searching the hospital and surrounding area for the escapee dentist, whose shocking prophecy that there will be more victims' torments Eklund and Conley.

IT specialist Phille finds a chatroom on the "Deep Web" called "Temptations" where a sinister figure by the name of L.H. appears to have been recruiting killers online.

Following their lead on the copycat killer, the team finds yet another connection to L.H. and the "Temptations" chatroom. They discover that L.H. uses the internet to recruit potential killers.

Conley's dead girlfriend, Maggie, continues to haunt him. He blames himself for her death but forces his attention on the case. Eklund friend and former partner has an alcohol problem.

Martin Lindstrom, a frustrated ex-cop, is on a vendetta. He shoots and kills random police officers. Eklund's boss, Karin Hammar, needs her officers to find out if those fatal incidents are also related to L.H.

Hanna finally reveals her true reason for resenting her father, her mother told her on her death bed; about the affair Eklund had with his boss. Hanna shares her fears and frustration with Göran and their sexual relationship intensifies…

With his fake profile in the "Temptations" chatroom, Phille manages to lure L.H. in. In the meantime, a new murder comes to the team's attention.

While investigating Sofia's murder, the team finds a rubber container stained with her blood. A container all too like the one that Göran has in his trunk.

Lying in his bathtub, caught between life and death, Conley has an epiphany. It dawns on him that the paintings he saw in Forsberg's apartment resemble the paintings found in Andrej's cabin.
