Wild Dogs: Running With The Pack

Connecting with the three packs: the large Manzi pack in the lush heartland, the Kakuli pack in the Badlands, and the tiny Stork Colony pack living at the park's edge. Host Julz shares their victories and defeats in a make-or-break season of drought.

Rising temperatures mean that water is getting scarce and the Manzi pack must stand alongside predators to hydrate at a remaining precious water spot. Weka's pack hunts to feed the pups, and the Stork Colony pack thrives against all odds.

Agonizing over a lost stork pack puppy, tussling with Manzi pups who are sorting their place in the hierarchy, and figuring out noisyneighbors, both friend and foe. Following a search mission with Julz for the missing Kakuli pack in the Badlands.

The Manzi dogs dodge a leopard while they treat themselves to a stolen feast; there is no such luck for the Kakuli pack on the hunt, as they're foiled by a puku antelope. Julz and Simon find the Stork pack and retreat from charging elephants.

Following a wild dog hunt with Julz, he catches up with the Manzi pack at a kill and watches for leopards and hyenas as the Kakuli pack takes great risks waiting for the rain to come.

An emotional Julz says farewell to the dog packs; he discovers the Stork colony pups hunting guinea fowl, and is heartened to find the Kakuli pups feeding on an antelope carcass; the playful Manzi pack corners a tough warthog.
