Walking the Americas

Levison Wood begins his journey on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, where he and his guide Alberto Caceres explore the remains of Mayan civilization. Then, they move into the jungles where Levison once trained as a soldier.

Levison Wood and Alberto Caceres reach Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua and party in a unique Caribbean town. They cross stunning but treacherous mountains and visit one of the world's most violent cities.

In Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Levison Wood and Alberto Caceres trek through beautiful landscapes and colonial cities. They climb active volcanoes and mountains, and navigate deadly highways meeting fishermen and migrants.

The final leg of Levison Wood's journey sees him venture through the Darien Gap from Panama to Columbia. He also visits the Panama Canal, explores a cave that is home to vampire bats and spends time with a local tribe.
