The only difference between Xate, an ordinary woman from Midyat with 8 children, and her neighbors is that her husband is the mayor of Midyat. One day something happens that changes not only Xate's life, but also the lives of the other inhabitants of Midyat, a town in southeastern Turkey. The illiterate Xate has become mayor of Midyat!
