BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense

It's the Christmas season. In NewWorld Online, the fourth floor has been released, and Maple and her friends from Maple Tree have immediately headed to the new floor. While walking through town on an exploration, Maple sees the guild master of the [Kingdom of the Flame Emperor], Mii quietly heading into a shop in disguise.

The fifth floor has been released and Sally and her friends fight the boss of the fourth floor. They successfully defeat it, but Maple is not there. She is actually unable to participate in the boss battle because she has caught a cold… Maple, who has to defeat the boss again to get to the fifth floor, dares to try it alone.

The sixth floor, where many ghost monsters such as ghosts and human souls appear. Maple, who has acquired new skills in one of her quests, decides to go level up together with Mii. She promised to hunt monsters with Mii a while ago.

Maple is conquering the seventh event with Sally. They climb up the tower-shaped dungeon where the terrain changes on each floor. However, the fifth floor has ghost-type monsters. The rest of Maple’s guild, including Krom, are conquering the dungeon separately.

After obtaining new skills as the reward for clearing the event, Maple and her team head to the seventh floor, which was released shortly after the event ended. The seventh level is a paradise-like area of monsters. Apparently, a new element has been added to the game and monsters can be tamed.

Kasumi, Mai and Yui successfully tamed their monsters. Maple, who was supporting everyone, learned a new skill and is now able to extend tentacles. Krom, Kanade and Izu search the seventh floor for monsters that fits their abilities perfectly.

Frederica shows Maple and Sally the monster she has tamed. Then, they are excited to hear the announcement of the eighth event. After that, Maple and Sally decide to go exploring together for the first time in a while. As they are continuing their exploration on the seventh floor, a group of sheep starts throwing Maple up in the sky.

Maple and Sally were able to evolve Syrup and Oboro. They work hard on leveling them up in order to give them new skills. The eighth event, which eventually begins, is divided into the preliminary round and the final round, so Maple and her friends take on the preliminary round first.

Maple and her friends proceed into the final round of the eighth event. The silver medals that are rare drops during the event can be shared within the guild. Considering efficiency, Maple and the other [Maple Tree] members decide to split into two groups and proceed smoothly through the event, while fighting powerful monsters that seem to hold medals

Maple and her guild are on the second day of the eighth event’s final round. When they go outside after spending the night in the base they have built together, the area is completely black, as if dawn has not yet broken. Moreover, the map can no longer be opened.

At Maple Tree's base, leaders of Order of Holy Sword and Flame Emperors have gathered. Maple, Payne, and Mii have separated into four teams to tackle the event. As time passes, the map shrinks and stronger monsters appear. Facing many tricks in the events, these former rivals worked together.

On the last day of the event, the dev finally unleashed their secret giant monster. As it power threatens to wipe out many other players, Maple decided to save them, to which Payne and Mii agrees. And so, Maple Tree, Order of Holy Sword, and Flame Emperors works together to defeat the giant monster.
